Julie Smith, Ph.D., is a thought leader in behavior-based strategy execution and performance improvement. She has made major strides in continuous improvement, customer service, change leadership and leadership development. Assembling unprecedented talent and behavioral methodology, she has helped many Fortune 100 companies and government agencies achieve results by:

  • Analyzing complex performance challenges and designing custom solutions for large-scale change
  • Mentoring executive leaders and coaching for leadership effectiveness and team-building
  • Developing and implementing feedback and performance measurement systems
  • Aligning organizations’ training and performance measurement systems to their stated values, mission, goals and strategic business needs

Julie utilizes Applied Behavioral Science to affect change at all levels of an organization, from organizational change implementation to the changeover of a worldwide computer installation. And, executives look to her for leadership training, management counsel and employee productivity improvement.

Julie authored the book When It Happens! @ Work: 5 Action Steps for Leading Yourself Through Change (LifePath Press, 2004) and its companion training seminars. She coauthored the college text, Performance Analysis: Understanding Behavior in Organizations. She has published articles on innovation management, formalized mentor systems, strategic planning models and quality of work life. A frequent guest speaker at professional conferences, Julie is on the Board of Advisors for West Virginia University’s School of Medicine and College of Arts and Sciences, and is an adjunct faculty member.

Julie earned her doctorate in behavioral science and a master’s degree in psychology from West Virginia University and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Cloud State University.
